Role: Marketing Associate

Job Description & Summary 

The Marketing Associate position is part of a high functioning team and includes social media marketing, intermediate graphic design, and assistance in other Communications tasks. The Marketing Associate will collaborate with the Director on the marketing/communications plan, design and create social media content, as well as engage our community through those platforms, design some of Globe’s print materials and advertisements, assist with media calls, and generally implement other Communications tasks with the support of the Director.  

Roles & Responsibilities

Social Media 

  • Implement a social media strategy that has been collaboratively created with the Director, promotes all programming aspects of Globe Theatre and follows Globe Theatre’s brand identity. 

  • Create high engagement content through videos, photos, and graphics. 

  • Keep up with current social media trends and implement them into the social media strategy. 

  • Run approved social media advertisement campaigns 

  • Record, analyze, and deliver analytic reports on all areas of social media marketing. 

Public Relations 

  • Oversee the preparation of press kits for each production to all applicable individuals.  

  • Assisting with media calls and schedule interviews, as well as transporting artists to and from interviews when needed. 

  • Schedule and supervise photo shoots for each production when needed. 

Digital Marketing and Advertising  

  • Provide insight and research on SEO strategies for the website and implement it into daily tasks to improve search results. 

  • Manage all aspects of the website including updating performance information, artist bios and headshots, etc. 

  • Brainstorm blog post ideas for the website that attract visitors, update current patrons, and improve SEO. 

  • In collaboration with the Director, draft compelling emails that generate high open rates and click-through-rates. Bonus points for comfort with Constant Contact. 

Brand Strategy and Graphic Design 

  • Create and maintain a cohesive brand identity by carrying the Globe Theatre voice and visual guidelines throughout all internal documents such as handbooks, training modules, policies, Annual Report, email signatures, etc.  

  • Collaborate with your team to create brand awareness campaigns  

  • Graphic design is a strength in terms of concepts and guidelines, inventive and creative ideas. Ideally, the candidate is proficient in Adobe Suite (InDesign especially) & other preferred programs to create various promotional materials for the Globe. 

  • Design and create external documents including newsletters, posters, proposals, presentations, proposals, sponsorship packages, event posters, etc.  

  • Experience with editing and culling large batch photos. 

Additional Information

Salary is based on qualifications and experience.
Range $40,000-$50,000
