Nick Miami Benz
Nick Miami Benz is a Vancouver-based performance artist working in physical theatre, known for embodying character and animal movement through the body. Their artistic path began with dance training in New York City, where working as an equestrian for The Metropolitan Opera played a key role in shaping their creative direction and led them back to theatre as an actor and singer.
Nick’s practice explores polyculturalism and social themes, these themes serve as a foundation for their solo work and collaborative projects. Their theatre credits include Little Red Warrior and His Lawyer, In My Day, God’s Lake, and Blackhorse, along with dance collaborations with Atomic Vaudeville, Burnaby Art Gallery, Van Vogue Jam, and Mascall Dance.
