Courtenay’s excited to play with this wonderful cast in this great city and in this his first appearance at the Globe! For the last 25 years Courtenay has worked as an actor, clown, deviser and physical theatre performer on more than 60 productions. His work has taken him to over 300 cities touring as a clown with Cirque du Soleil (Dralion). He also toured 20 countries in Europe and Asia with the wordless, solo, clown show – The Pianist. 

Favourite companies he’s worked with include: CanStage, Axis Mime, The Stratford Festival, Modern Times, Vancouver Playhouse, Arts Club Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, Bard on the Beach and the Grand, Caravan Farm and Common Boots Theatres. Recent credits include: La Bete (TIFT), Sanctuary Song (Tapestry Opera), Liars at a Funeral (Thousand Islands) the 39 Steps (County Stage) and A Mirror (Actor’s Repertory Company). 

He’s been shot at, lied to and insulted on screen in performances on: Suits, The Boys, The Umbrella Academy, DOC, Frankie Drake and Designated Survivor. 

His first play ‘Waiting for Gainey’ will be produced next season at the 4th Line Theatre in Ontario.
