GLOBE THEATRE SCHOOL

At Globe Theatre School, we encourage our youngest students to indulge in imaginative play and pretend. New artistic muscles grow and develop as they transition into our collective creation core programs, which are designed to build collaborative abilities and spark creative expression.

As the focus shifts to technical theatre and performance, our teen programming provides students with the necessary foundation to confidently write, act, and improvise in a positive group environment.

Teenagers and adults are offered the opportunity to perform in professional settings and challenge themselves in new and exciting ways.

History of Globe Theatre School

The Globe Theatre School was launched in 2006 to provide people of all ages with the opportunity to participate in the art of theatre and creation. The school offers in-house multi-disciplinary classes, and has offered a provincial outreach program, a professional placement program with the University of Regina, as well as specialty classes including Improv for Autism, an annual summer camp for newly arrived and immigrant youth in partnership with the Regina Open Door Society, and LAUNCH, an annual festival of new work by young artists.

STUDENT MATINEES

Our School Matinee program invites students from across the province to experience the magic of live theatre in a fun, accessible, and educational setting. This season, we’re thrilled to offer special performances with dates reserved just for school groups. Tickets are only $20 per student (GST & PST included), making it easier than ever to bring your class to the theatre. Space is limited, and performances are subject to minimum booking requirements, so we encourage early reservations by calling our Box Office at 306.525.6400.
