YOUTH AUDITION NOTICE

Regina’s Globe Theatre requests submissions for

LES MISÉRABLES

A musical by ALAIN BOUBLIL and CLAUDE-MICHEL SCHÖNBERG

Based on a novel by VICTOR HUGO

Presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International and CAMERON MACKINTOSH LTD.

In nineteenth century France, Jean Valjean is released from 19 years of unjust imprisonment but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a lifelong struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe that Valjean can change his ways. Finally, during the Paris student uprising of 1832, Javert must confront his ideals after Valjean spares his life and saves that of the student revolutionary who has captured the heart of Valjean’s adopted daughter. Epic, grand and uplifting, Les Misérables packs an emotional wallop that has thrilled audiences all over the world.

Auditions for Little Cosette and Young Eponine will be held in Regina on May 4^th

Auditions will consist of a solo audition for a specific role. Estelle Shook (Director), Evan Watts Smith (Music Director), and Jennifer Brewin (Globe Theatre’s Artistic Director) will be present for the auditions.

Please submit the following information electronically and in point form to auditions@globetheatrelive.com with the subject line “Les Mis Auditions – YOUR NAME”:

• Your headshot and resume in one PDF document
• The role(s) you would like to audition for
• Your status with Canadian Actor’s Equity
• Your vocal range (i.e. F3 to Eb5)

If selected for an audition, you’ll be asked to prepare:

• Song selections as provided for the specific character(s) that the Creative Team wishes to see you for.

Deadline for Submissions: APRIL 24^th, 2026, by 4:00PM CST.

Only young actors living in the Regina area will be considered for these roles.

YOUTH CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

Little Cosette – Female aged 10-13 (Vocal Range: A3 to C5)

Young Cosette is Fantine’s daughter and the Thénardiers’ ward. She has been forced into child labor. She is underfed, beaten by Madame Thénardier, and bullied by Eponine.

This role will be double cast.

Young Eponine – Female aged 10-13 (Vocal Range: A3 to C5)

Young Eponine is the pampered daughter of the Thénardiers. She does little except taunt Young Cosette.

This role will be double cast.
