Globe Theatre acknowledges Drs. Morris & Jacqui Shumiatcher for their generous donation, which enables the bold, imaginative traditions of the series to grow and develop.
A story of sisterly love and loyalty, small town assumption and apprehension and just how happy we are while dancing.
Set in the fictional small prairie town of Millard in late August of 1963, Shangri-La features Jeanne McCate, an astutely aware teen attempting to understand a never ending series of complications. Her sister is in trouble, her dad has been drinking, her mom has been swearing and Jeanne is hanging on for dear life in her own hilarious and heart-wrenching way.
