Shumiatcher Sandbox Series
Cope
By Greg Ochitwa
Featuring: Greg Ochitwa, Kaitlyn Semple, Don Ready and DJ Merky Waters
Directed by Kenn McLeod
Produced by North Central Theatre (Regina)
Globe Theatre acknowledges Drs. Morris & Jacqui Shumiatcher for their generous donation, which enables the bold, imaginative traditions of the series to grow and develop.
Our humanity is revealed most, not in the ways we thrive, but in the ways we cope.
This musical hip-hop journey follows Owin, Kay and Perk through their struggles with disease, drugs, abuse and love; featuring music by some of our province's top beat makers, including A.K., Merky Waters, Aries, and Pen Pointz.
This outstanding and uncompromising new work was performed for one night only in the 10|11 Reading Series. Due to its popularity, the production will now be fully realized in the Shumiatcher Sandbox Series before going on tour.
Greg Ochitwa has an extensive history with Globe Theatre including training in the Actor Conservatory program, teaching Theatre School courses, acting in Metamorphoses and most recently playing the lead role in Robin Hood.
WARNING: This production contains adult language and themes
