Mrs. Dexter and Her Daily
By Joanna McClelland Glass
Directed by Geoffrey Whynot
For Edith Dexter, the summer days seem endless; as she mourns over the ashes of her marriage and tries to find strength to forgive her former husband and his lover. Meanwhile, Peggy Randall, Mrs. Dexter’s “daily,” has more immediate concerns, like fixing Mrs. Dexter’s electric fan, and getting that stubborn wine stain out of the dining room carpet. But there is more to the dependable Peggy than meets the eye, and as both women crave a fresh beginning, they realize their relationship runs deeper than simply a maid and her privileged mistress.
