Shumiatcher Sandbox Series
A Few Shiny Pieces: The Fusion Project
Directed by Jayden Pfeifer & Johanna Bundon
Globe Theatre acknowledges Drs. Morris & Jacqui Shumiatcher for their generous donation, which enables the bold, imaginative traditions of the series to grow and develop.
"A town stands in waiting, looking for a few shiny pieces to break this spell and stillness. They pause, pointed towards the house where the basement light stays lit. Who lives there anyway?"
Fusion is much more than a collaboration project. It is the breeding ground for invention; the laboratory where ideas are torn apart, dissected and rebuilt into a vibrant piece of breathing art. It is an ensemble of young artists feeding each others need to create, and developing inspiring theatre along the way.
Throughout the last six years, Fusion has developed into an exciting and memorable Shumiatcher Sandbox Series feature. Fusion brings together a new ensemble of Saskatchewan’s most exciting and talented young theatre artists every year, and the work created through the Fusion process is some of the most challenging and fascinating to hit the second stage each season.
