Musical Theatre Audition Workshop

Space is limited to 10 participants
Director, Robert McQueen will be facilitating a musical theatre audition and scene study workshop for Saskatchewan artists. The first half of the day will be focused on auditioning for musical theatre, acting through song, and repertoire expansion. The second half of the day will allow participants to investigate scene work and cold reads.
Deadline for submissions is Feb 15, 2018.

Feb 18 - 22, 2019

An exciting new workshop for musicians, composers, songwriters, playwrights and lyricists in Saskatchewan who are interested in the art of creating musicals. This 5-day intensive will take place in February 2019. The workshop will cover history, technique, structure and style as well as providing opportunities for writers to collaborate and create with one another. The workshop will be facilitated by Robert McQueen, the Director of New Musical Development (Musical Stage Company) and by Stephanie Graham, Artistic Associate (Globe Theatre).
Deadline for musician, composer, songwriter, playwright and lyricist submissions is Dec 1, 2018.

Professional development workshop built for working or aspiring teachers that will assist educators in meeting specific ELA, Social Studies and Arts Education Curriculum outcomes. The workshop will have direct curriculum links. You’ll leave with sample lesson plans, assignments and a comprehensive list of the outcomes and indicators that can be achieved.
This teacher workshop will provide tools, strategies and resources to satisfy several of the ELA 9, 10 and 30 “Comprehend & Respond” and “Compose & Create” outcomes as well as many of the “Creative Productive”, “Cultural Historical” and “Critical Responsive” Arts Education Drama outcomes as per the Saskatchewan Curriculum.
