CHILDREN'S CLASSES (ages 6-12)

Make-Believers

(Ages 6 -7 years)

Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 12:30 pm OR 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm (half day)

The Make-Believers spend their time in active, directed play, embodying imagined characters and building worlds. Incorporating movement, visual arts, and percussion these classes engage your child's personality and physicality. At the end of the week, students will perform their creations for family and friends.

Explorers

(Ages 8 - 10 years) 
COST: $500.00 plus GST
ADVANCED PRICE: $450.00
Monday - Friday 9:30 am - 4:00 pm (full day)

The Explorers discover and develop worlds real and imagined, telling stories through movement, art, and creative drama. As they play and invent together in collective creation, these young adventurers are also introduced to narrative by developing a short theatre creation project. Their odyssey concludes with a presentation at the end of the two weeks for family and friends.

Creators

(Ages 11 - 12  years)

The Creators move into the world of focused theatre-making, developing improvisation skills and an awareness of their work as something to be shared with an audience. Over the course of the 2 week laboratory students learn to be part of an ensemble, building an original piece of theatre through writing, movement, art and drama. The laboratory culminates in a performance of their new work for family and friends.

JUST ADDED Physical Theatre

(Ages 11 - 13  years) 
COST: $260.00 plus GST

Monday - Friday 1:30pm - 4:30pm

This week long workshop is a fun and active introduction to the world of physical theatre.  Students will explore Mime, Contact Improv, and Animal Work with guest instructor Mike Gill.

TEEN CLASSES (ages 13-18)

Teen Creation

(Ages 13 - 15  years) 
COST: $500.00 plus GST
ADVANCED PRICE: $450.00
Monday - Friday 9:30am - 4:00 pm

This ensemble based program takes teens through the inquiry and explorations of mature theatre creation. Students are directed by a professional actor and choreographer; working on writing, improvising, movement, new media, and collaboration towards the creation of an original piece of theatre. At the end of the session the students perform their project for friends and family.

NEW Senior Teen Multimedia Theatre

(Ages 16 - 18  years) 
COST: $515.00 plus GST
ADVANCED PRICE: $465.00
Monday - Friday 10:00am - 4:30pm

Step outside of the box – literally! This senior level ensemble will explore site-specific theatre and new media theatre practices. Students will work with a professional actor and a media artist/filmmaker. This program will teach mature theatre skills training while providing a unique approach to theatre creation. Create dynamic and expressive environments with the introduction of multimedia in theatre, bringing storytelling to a new level in which traditional limitations are reconsidered.

Cancellation Policy

100% refund up to 14 days before class begins. 50% refund 14 days or less before class begins. No refund will be given from the first day of class except for medical reason, and only with a doctor's certificate. 

Globe Theatre School reserves the right to cancel any program with insufficient enrolment. In that event, full refunds will be provided or we will try to place the student in another class.
