Improv for ASD

Improv for Autism Spectrum Disorder

In 2014 the Globe Theatre School and the Autism Resource Centre began a partnership, investing in a unique program that looks at how improvisation tools can assist young people on the Autism Spectrum.

Our Improv for Autism Spectrum Disorder curriculum was built over a two-year development period in partnership with the Autism Resource Centre. The program offers students on the autism spectrum the opportunity to build confidence, interpersonal communication skills, and lasting friendships.

These recreational classes are open to students of all experience levels with mild-moderate autism or Asperger's syndrome. Students learn improvisation acting techniques in a fun and supportive environment. Classes focus on the development of self-confidence, communication, and social skills, context awareness, creativity, relating and connection.

Thanks to generous funding support from SaskLotteries, Improv for ASD is now only $100 for a twelve-week session! Read below to learn more about Improv for ASD for Teens and for Adults.
