What is happening with the 2020|2021 season?

At the end of June, we announced plans for shortened 20|21 season, and were hopeful for a 3-show offering beginning January 2021. After careful thought and consideration, Globe Theatre is saddened to announce the cancellation of the remainder of our 2020|2021 season. With the challenges we face due to the pandemic, we cannot confidently deliver the revised lineup of shows while adhering to public health restrictions that would allow artists and audiences to gather safely.

If you’re a current subscriber, please know that your subscriber status is being held for the 2021|22 season. This means you will still receive priority seating.

Will you be offering any programming?

We have been closely monitoring the efforts of our colleagues across the country to present live performances that comply with accepted safety protocols, only to see them have to cancel due to the ever-changing precautions. Like many other theatres across the country, we are taking a time out on announcing programming too far into the future and will announce one event at a time as we cautiously move forward.

When will 2021|2022 subscriptions go on sale?

The evolving nature of COVID-19 makes it challenging to plan too far ahead. If you are a current subscriber, know that you will still receive priority seating. We’ll be in touch in the new year with an update on future programming.

What happens if I have a credit on my account? Or if I have a gift card?

Your credit will remain on your account to be used for future ticket purchases, towards next season or theatre school classes. Gift cards never expire, so you will be able to use it for future programming.

Why haven’t I received any communication from you about any of the cancellations?

We’ve being using a combination of email and phone to communicate with patrons. If you haven’t received communications from us it could be because your contact information is not up to date. Please email boxoffice@globetheatrelive.com with your patron number, address, phone number and email address and we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop.

When are you opening the Box Office for in-person transactions?

The Box Office will remain closed until social distancing constraints have been lifted or relaxed.
