The Artist Residency

Globe Theatre welcomes nine Artistic Associates for a five-month residency to create and explore the art of theatre during this peculiar time.

Running from the beginning of February 2021 through June 2021, Globe Theatre's team of local theatre practitioners will engage in a series of micro projects in the areas of outreach, education, and collaborations with many of the city’s freelance artists and organizations.

Along with creating work for Globe Theatre, the artists will partner with numerous community arts groups, including Prairie Sky School, Listen to Dis, Curtain Razers, and Burnt Sienna.

The Artist Residency runs from the beginning of February 2021 through June 2021.

We hope to welcome audiences to COVID safe viewings of ‘micro’ projects, audio plays, sneak peaks at new works in the works, outdoor events, and performances for children. The pandemic has shifted everything, and the importance of storytelling and performance are a key part of how we reassemble as a community.

Jennifer Brewin, Artistic Director of Globe Theatre:

“The pandemic has shifted everything, and the importance of storytelling and performance are a key part of how we reassemble as a community. These are extraordinary times, and we turn to our artists to respond.”
