Culture Days 2012
Globe Theatre is excited to host a series of events once again in honour of the national Culture Days festival on Saturday September 29, 2012 from 10:00am - 4:00pm.
This event is free of charge and open to the public.
All day activities include:
Theatre Tours - Guests will have a chance to see what happens behind the doors of Globe Theatre.
Open Rehearsal for Billy Bishop Goes to War - Sit in on a Rehearsal for Billy Bishop Goes to War and see how artists work to create a show.
Create-Your-Own-Toto Craft Station - Kids of all ages are welcome to build a puppet and complete one of the colouring sheets featuring Dorothy and her little dog Toto, two characters from our upcoming Christmas production of The Wizard of Oz.
Prop Construction Workshops - Come discover how props are made then try your hand at creating a prop of your own.
Design Gallery - Learn about the history of Globe Theatre by looking at past and present designs created for the Globe Theatre Main Stage.
Photo Booth Station - Cast members always take photos before shows in their costumes. Now it is your turn to be a character and have your own Globe Theatre photo shoot.
Other activities:
11:00 – 2:00 pm Face Painting by Fairy Tails Artistry - Transform yourself into a butterfly or other magical animal.
11:00-12:00 pm, 1:00 - 2:00 pm Tribal Vibes performance on the Scarth Street Stage - Move to the rhythm of Tribal Vibes and stay for some interactive drumming activities.
12:00 – 1:00 pm Improv Performance with Theatre School - Dive into the world of improvisation with expectations to laugh, cry (only from laughing so hard), while watching an improv performance of the Globe Theatre School led by Combat Improv’s Colby Richardson.
