General Audition Notice

Artistic Director Ruth Smillie will be holding general auditions for the 2014|2015 season on:


Monday, April 14, 2014 – CAEA members only

Tuesday, April 15, 2014 – Non-union


Actors are invited to apply for an audition time by sending an electronic copy of their resumé and headshot to (please include ‘General Auditions’ in the subject line).


Submission deadline is April 4, 2014.


Globe Theatre will contact individuals selected for auditions. 

Please note that video submissions will not be accepted.



Audition Requirements:
Two contrasting monologues selected from plays (monologues downloaded from the internet or from monologue books are not acceptable). One monologue should be from the contemporary repertoire and one should be from the classical repertoire.  Each monologue should be no longer than 3 minutes in duration.

Actors who are professional singers with musical theatre training who wish to perform a song are welcome to do so.    This is not a requirement of the audition.  A piano and CD player will be available.  Please note that an accompanist will not be provided.
